Site privacy
Last updated 2026-10-10
This page covers the website gladmill.com and its server at api.gladmill.com. The privacy policies of the Forge apps (Repo Docs, Async Estimate) are separate and unchanged.
What the website collects
We count visits so we know which pages help people. The site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
- The page you viewed, and the site you came from (its domain only, never the full address).
- Campaign tags in the link (
utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign), if there are any. - Clicks on key buttons: Try free, Download, Buy, the sample files, and links to other sites. For Buy we note which product.
- Your country (from Cloudflare), a device type (phone, tablet or desktop) and your window width.
- A visitor number that is anonymous and changes every day. It is a one-way hash of your address and browser with a random daily secret, and that secret is deleted after two days. Nobody can turn the number back into an address, or match you across days.
We do not store your IP address or your browser's name and version. We skip visits from bots, and from browsers that send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. Visit records are kept for 400 days and then deleted.
Cloudflare Web Analytics also counts page views and how fast pages load for us. It sets no cookies and does not follow you across sites (how it works).
What we collect when you use Hotpaths
- Free signup: your email address and the license key we make for you.
- License checks from the plugin: your key, a PC ID (a hash that cannot be traced back to the machine), the PC name and the plugin version, with the time of the check.
- Free version, daily check: each time you record, run a test or build the guide, the plugin sends your key, the PC ID and which of the three it was (record, run or guide), and we store it with the time to count your 3 actions a day. Paid keys do not send this.
- Downloads: which key downloaded which version, and when.
We use this to run the license and to email you about Hotpaths. Reply "stop" and we stop.
What we collect when you join the Pilot release list
If you use "Get the next release" on the AutoCAD Pilot page, we store your email address, the time it was added and the page it came from, on our server. We use it only to announce new Pilot releases. Reply "stop" to any of those emails, or email [email protected], and we take you off the list (we keep a note that you unsubscribed so we never email you again).
What we collect when you buy lessons
- Payment: PayPal handles it. We receive the buyer's name, email and the amount paid, never card or bank details.
- Delivery: the buyer's email (for the gift certificate) and the student's name and email (to schedule the Zoom sessions).
We use this only to deliver the lessons and answer questions, and delete it 12 months after the last session. Sessions are not recorded.
Where it lives
On our own server, behind Cloudflare, which delivers the site and sees requests as any web host does. We do not use Google Analytics or any ad network, and we do not sell or share this data.
